It is important to expand the little ones’ world of experience in small steps as they get older. While everything takes place in the whelping box in the first few days, it is important to support the development of the little ones with more and more stimuli in the later days and weeks.

The puppies’ self-confidence grows with every new challenge they conquer.

We have built a spacious run for this phase. There, the puppies are also protected from birds of prey and can return to the secure whelping box at any time, from where they can learn to conquer the world. The outdoor run is also the first place where future puppy owners can meet their future Hovawart puppies and gradually get to know them.
